The study was led by the University of Hong Kong with the research revealing that over 30,000 wild species have been traded within the U.S alone, and over half from the wild. This data has highlighted significant gaps in Global Wildlife Trade regulations, emphasising the need for stronger protections for species, and a call to action to reduce risk to biodiversity.听
