IPAS Members Lead Successful Critical Technologies Challenge Program Applications

Two IPAS-led projects have secured funding in the Australian Government鈥檚 Critical Technologies Challenge Program. Miniprobes Pty Ltd, with the University of 米兰电子, received $495,026 to improve diabetes assessment using quantum optical imaging. Loughan Technology Group, also with the University of 米兰电子, was awarded $490,936 for quantum sensing to optimise resource extraction and reduce environmental impact.

ARC Linkage Project Funding for Portable Asbestos Detection Device
Professor Spooner听was also awarded in round one of the 2024听听飞颈迟丑听$675,816听for a project which will develop a new portable device that can be used to detect asbestos in real-world scenarios such as within homes or workplaces. This has the potential for significant public health and economic benefits through reduced exposure to hazardous asbestos dust.
