Australian Rover Challenge and Laboratory Unveiling: Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources

ISER is proud to support Associate Professor John Culton, Director of the Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources, and his team, who have had an exciting month with the opening of the new Exterres laboratory, and hosting of the second Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh), both at the University of 米兰电子:
On Thursday 24 March, the University of 米兰电子 launched its new Exterres Laboratory. The lab, which is the first of its kind in Australia, is an off-Earth surface testing environment for space technology like rovers, which are destined for the furthest reaches of the universe. From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 March the University鈥檚 Maths Lawns on North Terrace campus were transformed into a lunar landscape for the 2nd ARCh challenge, with sandy loam, rocks, craters, a life-sized space lander, solar panel arrays and other space props.
