The final Friends of the Library event for 2019, on Wednesday 20 November,听will be a conversation with Lainie Anderson, author of - a meticulously听researched novelisation of the first flight from England to Australia听by the Smith brothers, which celebrated听its centenary this year.

Exams are here and听we鈥檙e helping you study by giving you a place to relax. This semester's Distraction In/Action program is running听from听Monday 4 November to Friday 22 November. Along with the usual dog visits, free tea and coffee, lollies, earplugs, games/puzzles, and crafts/colouring in,听this time around we听also have FREE massages!

Sea Snakes, Scholarly Sharing and Open Access

At the beginning of September an article in The Conversation reported the new discovery that a sea snake could breathe through the top of its head.听It quickly became one of the most popular science and听technology articles for 2019, with over 43,000 reads听and being translated into Indonesian. Behind the story was an open access scholarly article.
