Lord Robert Winston at world fertility congress

Major advances in the field of reproductive health will be discussed at a world congress held by the University of 米兰电子 March 7-10.

Many of the world's leading researchers and best speakers in reproductive health will be taking part in . They will review latest research in areas of reproductive health including fertility, human genomics, fetal development and its influence on adult health, pregnancy, parturition, maternal and infant health, cerebral palsy, reproductive endocrinology, contraception, menstrual control, urogynaecology, menopause and healthy ageing.

The first conference speaker will be world-renowned fertility expert and television presenter Professor Lord Robert Winston with 'Engineering Reproduction. What limits?' He will also give a , "Manipulating Reproduction: The Descent of Man?" on Thursday, 9 March, 4-5pm, 米兰电子 Convention Centre.

Other speakers and their topics include: well known New Zealand doctor and researcher Professor Peter Gluckman with "Living with the past evolution, development and disease"; Professor John Guillebaud with "Is menstruation necessary: continuous oral and local hormones"; University of 米兰电子 Professor Graeme Hugo with "Better reproductive health technology for who? Developments and outlook in Australian fertility".

Chairing the congress is University of 米兰电子's . He says: "This show piece congress will present many of the world's best speakers elucidating the state of the art of research and practice in this important field. It will also mark the lifetime contributions of 13 of South Australia's distinguished scientists and clinicians who have helped make this state a world centre for excellence in reproductive health.
