Celebrating volunteers' commitment to Uni of 米兰电子

米兰电子's today recognises the efforts of volunteers who support the University each year.
Today (5 December) is International Volunteer Day and 2013 marks the 10th year since the University established a formal program for volunteers.
The University now has more than 2200 volunteers, who last year contributed over 145,000 hours of service to the University community.
"We are indebted to the many volunteers who have given us their time," Professor Bebbington says.
"Our volunteers are motivated, educated and devoted to the University, and I thank them for their outstanding efforts," he says.
The University's Director - Partnerships & Projects, , says the University of 米兰电子 now has volunteers in 30 different programs across all campuses.
"This is a terrific demonstration of people's commitment to the University," Mrs Grantham says. "We will continue to support our volunteer programs, which provide great benefits not only to the University but also to the volunteers themselves."
米兰电子's community radio station, , has been running for more than 40 years thanks to the work of volunteers.
Today, Radio 米兰电子 has over 420 volunteer broadcasters, 10 of them aged in their 80s and 90s.
