Uni of 米兰电子 hosts Festival of Ideas major events

Staff, alumni and the very grounds of the University of 米兰电子 will all play a starring role in this month.

米兰电子 is a major partner of The 米兰电子 Festival of Ideas 2016, with historic Bonython Hall and Elder Hall both featuring as venues for key events, including:


  • the : What a magician taught me about politics, by national living treasure Phillip Adams AO (7.30pm Friday 21 October, Bonython Hall)

  • (2.30pm Saturday 22 October, Bonython Hall)

  • : The Courage Party? Climbing out of the political abyss, by national living treasure Barry Jones AC (4.00pm Saturday 22 October, Bonython Hall)

  • : The future of humanity does not look good, by social theorist Professor Paul James (11.15am Sunday 23 October, Bonython Hall).


"米兰电子 has played an important role in the 米兰电子 Festival of Ideas since the inaugural Festival in 1999, and we are proud to again support the reborn Festival of Ideas in 2016," says the University's Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Warren Bebbington.

"The Festival is an iconic event, exploring new thinking, opening minds, creating collaboration and celebrating innovation. As a university dedicated to generating new knowledge and innovation, and translating that knowledge for the benefit of industry and society, the University of 米兰电子 is an ideal partner for this event."
