Open Universities Australia is today celebrating the arrival of one of Australia鈥檚 leading universities to the marketplace, with the first University of 米兰电子 degree program now open for enrolments.

米兰电子, a cornerstone Australian Group of Eight (Go8) university, is now offering a through Open Universities Australia (OUA).

This degree program builds on the University of 米兰电子鈥檚 success with OUA, which has offered 25 of the University鈥檚 executive short courses via the marketplace since April 2020.

According to Head of Partnerships at OUA, David Cummings, the University of 米兰电子鈥檚 offering of a high-quality, world-class degree program is a real win for students across the country.

鈥溍桌嫉缱逾�檚 arrival onto the OUA marketplace signifies a growing interest from leading universities to take courses online and meet students where they are.

鈥淭he introduction of the Bachelor of International Business from the University of 米兰电子 is a significant offering for students, who, via the OUA marketplace, can now study with a Group of Eight university, from anywhere across the country.

鈥淥UA鈥檚 Open Access product enables students to enrol in a Bachelor degree via non-traditional pathways and still achieve qualifications from a leading institution. This will be a first for this particular Group of Eight university, which is very exciting for us,鈥� adds Cummings.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of 米兰电子, Professor Jennie Shaw, says the move online and via a proven marketplace is part of the University鈥檚 strategic vision of growth, making its educational programs accessible to a wider diversity of students, irrespective of their location.

While that won鈥檛 change for most of our students, we recognise there鈥檚 a wider demand for a prestigious University of 米兰电子 education,鈥� Professor Shaw says.

鈥淧rior to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University established a strategic vision to provide our education to a growing community of learners from a greater diversity of backgrounds and needs. This vision included pathways to high-quality online study. The events of the last couple of years have accelerated that need to diversify and create opportunities for study in an online learning environment.
